We started in carrier networks and never left the deep end. The work changed — from legacy signaling to VoIP, and now to AI-native networks — but the standard didn't: carrier-grade reliability, real-time performance, and software that holds when a dropped packet means a dropped call.
Founded in 2022, OOP Consulting brings together engineers who have built real-time software with C++ since 1994 — the kind of systems that move voice and signaling across carrier networks, where a dropped packet is a dropped call and milliseconds are contractual.
We've lived the industry's defining shifts. In the early 2000s we helped carriers move off legacy TDM networks and onto VoIP — re-architecting voice and signaling for a packet world. Now we're driving the next one: the transition to AI-based, intelligent telecom networks.
That work — SS7, VoIP, VoLTE, SIP, RTP, SMPP — taught us a way of building that we now bring everywhere: design for the failure modes first, measure the tail latency, and treat uptime as the product. We've extended it into embedded systems, high-throughput backends, and the telco-grade AI the network era demands.
We stay deliberately small and deep. We'd rather be the team you call for the part that can't fail than the one you call for everything.
